Peanuts Card Packaging
May 25, 2007
From the Gift Card Newsletter
By Leo Jakobson

Seastone has signed an agreement to design, manufacture and distribute a variety of gift card packaging branded with Charles M. Schultz's Peanuts comic strip characters.

The Provo, Utah-based company's license will let it use Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the gang on a variety of gift card packages, targeting the promotional and consumer markets—including outlets like Wal-Mart (which also sells in the special markets channel) and a variety of national department stores and drug store and apparel chains.

In addition, Seastone recently announced that the United States Patent Office has granted it a patent relating to the use of tin as packaging for gift cards and stored value cards.
